Jeffrey Weeks has over 25 years of experience handling civil litigation cases.  He began his career with one of the largest law firms in the South, and he moved to Colorado Springs in 1991.  Mr. Weeks has successfully handled cases against the United States, the State of Colorado, insurance companies and major corporations.  His philosophy in handling these cases is to be “gracious and tenacious” and to diligently seek the most appropriate result for his clients.

Mr. Weeks handles a wide range of commercial litigation cases, including breach of contract, real estate, fraud, misrepresentation, negligent misrepresentation, construction defects, employment matters, embezzlement, civil theft, fire losses and water losses.

Approximately half of Mr. Weeks’ practice is in the field of person injury.  He handles numerous car/auto accidents, semi/truck accidents , motorcycle accidents, slip/trip and falls, medical malpractice and wrongful death.  Mr. Weeks routinely handles cases involving major injuries such as brain and spinal injuries, as well as significant loss of wages/permanent loss of earning capacity. He is thoroughly familiar with handling subrogation claims and liens in personal injury cases, which is a complex area of law that can easily serve as a trap to the unwary.

Mr. Weeks has developed expertise handling sexual assault cases, school negligence, sovereign immunity and federal 1983 claims.

A unique area of Mr. Weeks’ practice involves insurance bad faith, an insurer’s breach of the duty of good faith and fair dealing and insurance coverage disputes.

Finally, Mr. Weeks handles employment claims on behalf of both employers and employees involving sexual harassment, hostile working environment, wage claims, breach of employment contract and wrongful termination.  These claims involve Title VII, 1981 and state claims.
